Frequently Asked Questions

Is this image converter free?
Yes, Image Wizard is completely free with no account or sign-up required.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. All conversion happens entirely in your browser using the Canvas API and WebAssembly codecs. Your files never leave your device and nothing is stored on any server.
Which image formats can I convert between?
You can drop JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP or TIFF images and convert them to JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF or GIF — any input to any output format.
Which output format should I choose?
WebP is the best all-rounder for the web: 25–35% smaller than JPEG with transparency support. AVIF is even smaller but slower to encode. Choose JPG for maximum compatibility with older software, and PNG when you need a lossless file for editing.
What happens to transparency when I convert to JPG?
JPG and GIF output flattens transparent areas onto a white background automatically. To keep transparency, choose WebP, AVIF or PNG as the output format.
Can I convert multiple images at once?
Yes. Image Wizard supports batch conversion — drop or select multiple images at once, mix different output formats per image, and download them all with one click.
Can I adjust the output quality?
Yes. For lossy formats (JPG, WebP, AVIF) you can set a global quality level and fine-tune quality per individual image with a slider after conversion. PNG output is always lossless.
